Warren Barry with Special Guest Memhet Akcagliyan

I met Mehmet at a TEC Canada Emerging Leaders session where I was speaking, and knew that there was something special about him.  

Born in Iskenerin, Turkey, moved to Brooklyn NY at the age of 7, with no english, totally new culture, and a world of unknowns, Mehmet found a way.  His family moved to Canada, and that is where he resides.  He leads by example, is always the first to be kind, and left me with the line, you only lose when you give up. Mehmet gets to better the pond everyday, but leaving people better than he found them.  Thank you Mehmet.
